The Royal Life Guards Music Corps' most important task is to deliver music to the Royal House: music during shifts at His Majesty's residence, table music at the castles, music during state visits and receptions. The music corps is popularly said to be the Royal House House Orchestra.

The music corps also delivers music to the Armed Forces in connection with parades and ceremonies. In addition, the Music Corps has a nationwide public concert company and has been abroad several times to profile Denmark.
