DR Girl Choir

Ensembles

For almost 80 years, the DR Girl Choir has been part of the Danes' sound image. From regular radio features in everyday life to festive events such as New Year's Eve, where hundreds of thousands of Danes experience the DR Girl Choir singing into the new year.

And

The common thread in the DR Girl Choir's work is the Danish song in all its guises, and the girls move freely between Grundtvig's hymns, modern works, well-known pop songs and community singing.

And

It takes discipline and musical talent to be a singer in the DR Girls' Choir - but the most important thing for the choir is actually everything that lies around the music. Namely, the community, the cohesion and the support of each other. To be part of a committed community and together create something bigger and more important than oneself - for the benefit of all Danes.
